Eugene Müller – Executive Chef

Eugene Müller

Born in Switzerland and trained at a French culinary institute, Eugene took a global route to his position as our creative dining mastermind. After spending time in South Africa and South America, Eugene had successful tenures as the Executive Chef at iconic Canadian hotels Chateau Montebello (which hosted the G8) and Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.

He then made the move to our province at the time of the re-opening of the Hotel Newfoundland as Executive Chef and successfully established it as the premier location in St. John’s. We are pleased to have Chef Müller and his exquisite culinary expertise at PJ Billingtons for more than a decade.

A marathon runner with a passion for great food, Eugene’s cooking style is European based – informed by 40 years of experience – with a flair for the latest trends, and a focus on local specialties. Our menu has been crafted to include popular favourites – along with some adventurous options for a new experience!
